Below is a sajak by my friend, Shafinaz … a mother of 7 kids ... may this sajak be able to touch our heart ...
dalam kesusahan kepayahan kita
ada lagi yang lebih menderita
dalam perit derita mencari nafkah
anak anakku masih terbela
susah anak anak ibu Shafinaz
roti, sausage, cheese tak pernah putus
ibu nuggetnya habis, telur tinggal sedikit
dan dalam menghela nafas ke hulu hilir
masih sempat dan masih mampu belikan segala yang di pinta
kasih sayang, insyaAllah tak putus
makan pakai, insyaAllah masih cukup
masih tak bersyukurkan anak anak ibu?
anak anak di sana?
dimana kasih sayang?
menumpang kasih sayang ibunya orang
syukur nak, masih ada yang simpati
masih ada yang mahu memberi sesuap nasi
masih ada yang sanggup menghabis keringat
menjaga mendidik anak anak itu
walaupun bukan darah dagingnya
walau bukan saudara mara, jiran tetangganya
ibu Sarimah
sungguh suci hatimu ibu
aku masih perit letih dengan kerenah anak anakku
aku hilang sabar dengan jerit pekik darah dagingku
tetapi ibu Sarimah...
hati mu?
apa ada di hati mu?
apa tersirat di sanubarimu ?
apa rahsia menyimpan sejuta kasih sejuta sayang
mendidik mengasuh tanpa jemu..
demi apa?
tak mungkin wang ringgit yang dipinta
tak mungkin pangkat dan harta di mata
semoga tabah Ibu Sarimah
semoga sabar
hanya ALLAH yang mampu membalas jasa

To upgrade or not to upgrade - Finally NOT TO UPGRADE Yeeee !!! lega !!!
Sometimes it is good to let our "angan-angan" wonder around sekejap - but not for long. This time angan-angan nak pindah rumah ! This topic we have to "Jangan Berhenti Berharap"
The first house buy we made was 8 years ago. We moved in to our firstly "bought" house 6 years ago. It's a 2015 sq ft built up with a tiny little compound at the front and another tiny little compound at the back of the house.
The porch can accomodate the Oddesey and Lek's Kelisa. Ayah's blue Kelisa always parked outside the gate. His favorite spot.
We've enuf space for the permanent members of the house. Ayah, Mak, Lek, Bibi and the 4 sons. We've always can accomodate visitors who frequent our house all year round. Since Mak is not too crazy about cooking, the little kitchen is enuf.
And we do get along well with the neighbours along the road. That's important.
Why we feel we need to upgrade ?
1) To get separate bathroom for Lek's room and the boys's room. The boys are getting bigger by the day.
2) To hv 2 rooms downstairs for elderly visit, Eyang and those in the same time zone.
3) To hv enuf space for all the 3 cars inside the gate.
4) To hv enuf room/space for our year round visitors. We do welcome our visitors and our intention is to hv them as comfy as possible while visiting.
5) To hv more land for Eyang's and Bibi's green fingers.
6) To hv more space for future additional sons and daughters.
7) dan lain-lain .
BUT Ayah prefer to stay put at BJ and the house price at BJ is CRAZILY EXPENSIVE !
If given choice Mak want to get an apartment a pentsuite or something closer to Sect7 so we do not hv to travel a distance to make our frequent visit to Azfar. That will cost us only a fraction comparatively with the price of the new house in BJ (with the 3369 sq feet built up and 3960 land area).
Uhhh fenin kefala. Let's just see how the loan processing goes and if any interesting deal come out with this current house. If they give us 95% loan - TROPIKA1 Tiang Seri !!!! we are coming to you :) If they give us merely 80% ... we'll stay put at Jln Kubah.
Or may be we should go for umrah first and later we won't feel too guilty if we're to "commit suicide" by buying the TROPIKA ...

Aceh in June 05
Entry courtesy of my dear cousin - Ade Dian of Pekan Baru, Riau, Sumatra.

Aceh July 2005
Caption for the left photo :
Caption for the right photo :
Mesjid ini benar-benar kokoh. Dia adalah bangunan yang paling dekat dengan pantai dan mendapat terjangan ombak paling besar. Sekarang kondisinya masih 70-80% ok, sedangkan hampir seluruh bangunan sejauh 5 kilometer kearah daratan tinggal puing-puingnya saja. Untuk pembangunan mesjid dan mushala, saudara kita di Aceh hanya menerima sumbangan dari perseorangan muslim atau organisasi muslim saja.
