Ooops ... Blunder big time !

For "cari makan", I am the policy and process governess. I create policy follow by the responding standards and processes.
Those do not follow process, by reason of ignorance or simply "degil, will have to "fill up the except1on and exempt1on" form. Then they need to get it signed by the my boss boss and his/her boss.

Now ... that's when it is the policy and processes within my area.
What if I am the one who "fail" to comply to policy and processes from other areas ?

Tak ke fenin makcik governess.

Thousand apologies Ms C0uns3l, Ms Pr0cur3m3nt, Ms F1nanc3 ... all the oversight are not intended. Must have been due to the over-heavy workload that contribute to the unintended oversight.

Luckily a conversation w/ my lunch partner over a shared cup of teh tarik and 4 pieces of cekodok surface my ooops before it's to late and a good candidate for future aud1t item.

Step 1 : admit the mistake and apologize.
Step 2 : blog about it ... so next time i remember, hopefully
Step 3 : reverse the process and go backward with the processes that i've unintentionally missed out.

Ahhhh ! Have to reverse so many paperwork and even worse need to present to the t3nd3r committ33 ... aku malas betul le bab-bab ni.

I want to take another break.

Execuse me Sir, You're fired !

I never thought I will have to say that but after giving a month ++, I think I will not risk the Co's interest any further.

Nothing personal Sir ... while I value your skill in aud1t1ng area, but I do have to ask for your removal from this particular engagement.

I demand that your employer, who is currently our serv1ce provider, to send another personnel who can communicate.
So I can spend my time validating the content of the presentation and report, rather than playing "Mr Brown - Mind Your Language" role.

Me no speak Londong well but me can speak lah.
Me can say things in less than 12 words, me say. Me don't use too many words.
Me say "recommend" ... me not say "is found want1ng".
Me say "pa1n areas" me explain the problem, me not say what me see as observations.

Me say sorry to you Sir, but me have to put the Co's interest above all. Afterall it's the Co's money, not mine.
Execuse me Sir, you are fired.

p/s: I never thought I can be this harsh, but push me to the wall .. I got to do what I got to do.

Mission accomplished !

For the first time since my employment with this Co, I've to present a paper for approval to spend money (not mine) ... in front of a committee which I've been hearing all sorts of "tough" stories. And I was supposed to drag along more experience-with-the-committee collegues. Had 3 candidates in my mind but none of them are available - speaking of kawan di masa susah. Anyway, for the last one week, I've been going around asking for what are others' experiences and learning the Dos and Don'ts. What line works and what line to be avoided. What I hold dearly is "don't say too much" just "say enough".

I keep rehearsing my lines the night before and the 2 hr morning wait at the Immigration office (to pick up Bibik's visa) provided a good timing for silent rehearsal. I arrived at the meeting room early and waited patiently (and nervously) until my time. When they called me, I keep telling myself the rule ... "don't say too much" just "say enough".

So I presented my case ... point1, point2, point3, point4 ... then concluded as quickly as I can. I stumbled a bit on the final evaluation point because I was told, by one of the "tip"pers, to simplify but I guess I've over simplified things. One of committee member demanded the detail analysis, which I have but did not submit on recommendation from one of my tippers,so I told her I'll resubmit. Shuuuyyyy I thought it will be downhill from that point but luckily the other members were OK on the overall analysis and pointed that it's a good cost saving for the Co with the new approach (onsite offsite balancing)bla bla bla and good benchmark data .... oklah ... after 15 minutes ... I hear the statement that I wanted to hear ... "We approve this paper and you can proceed, however please submit your detail evaluation to complete the submission" ... wokeyyy that's not a problem .

Phewwww ! Mission accomplished !

When I updated M4d4m in her room, she's so happy, siap bangun dari kerusi lagi "Good Job for 1st timer" .
Alhamdulillah ... now I can have a good weekend and prepare the next step ... Monday lah.
