The expeditor

Today I've a chance to listen to The Expeditor's motivational talk - talking about Dreaming the Impossible Dream.

I've heard/read so much about her from the media and also from my office mates who have attended her talk (invited by the Co mid 2007).

I've nothing but admiration of her perseverance and determination.
Mokcik nak dukung anak 12kg pun mengah giler - she drag a 69kg sled through the North and South poles.

Beliau telah kembali kepada Tuhannya

Alfatihah ... for whatever he has done, rightfully and wrongfully ... the lives of 240million people have to go on ...
Forgiveness is in the heart of each and every life he has touched, gracefully or brutally.
When I visited Bandung a few years ago, the sentiments of my immediate family memberes were crystal clear. Things were better "dulu", goods were more affordable, life was more "tolerable" ...

For whatever it's worth, my prayers are for the rest of the nation to move forward.

Painting is theraupatic ... well to a certain extent

After close to 10 years, finally we repaint the BJ house. Coupled with the need for the mother for some theraupatic activity which does not cost lots of RM - so after the Sunday Pasar Tani trip, we go get the paint and the necessary tool. Ayah is out with Aziz to Temerloh for the pokok cabai trip. With the left over "resources" that is in the house today, here's some photos of WIP and completed task.

Apparently for J0tun paint, you select the colour, then the shopkeeper will take the white paint, put it under a computerized machine which will drop the mixture of "ibu warna" , something like when you put colouring for yr "kuih-muih".
Then the paint will be "shake"

Aman choose Arcylic Blue for the boys' rooms.

Mak's inclination for purplish wall is voted out by Uqbah's insistence for Mango-Orange" Master bedroom. And Bibik Tri is getting RM75.00 extra this month for her painting contribution effort.

Siap dah ...

Matching with the "pine-wood" wardrobe.

Work to be continued during Tha1pusam holiday for the other areas in the house.

Ketupat Aidil Adha 1428H

Gambar-gambar ni terlambat di blog-kan. Bukan karna kami goblok :)Cuma terlupa.

Sehingga menjilat jari !

Singkong goreng berempah

Use a nicer name please ...

My mother, being a true Indonesian in her heart, for years has always
been complaining about this. She dislike the word "Indon" so much. It
is demeaning to her, and apparently, to majority of Indonesian.

I figure for them to fight the independence so fiercefully and
declared themselves an Independent Nation and Bangsa Indonesia - such
a beautiful name to their ears .... tup tup tup ... di pendekkan jadi
Indon, it hurts.

So my friends, I don't want to create a racial thread here, but if we
already know a certain party does prefer to be called Indonesia rather
than Indon, panggil je lah guna nama yang mereka suka. Tak rugi pun.

Furthermore, I can't recall the exact hadith, but in Islam we are not
allowed to call people with the names that they don't like.

I remembered some of my HK friends, during my study in the UK, told me
personally that they didn't like to be referred as Hong Kie" because
they felt it's demeaning.

Sekian. Terimakasih !
